I just got back from getting a sneak peak of the Sacramento County Fair! It was so much fun. We got to taste some super yummy food like Cowboy Pastrami Sandwich (my personal fav), The Squeeze Inn burger (pretty close to the pastrami one on my list), Hawaiian Hot Dogs, a Fried Mac & Cheese Ball with Jalapenos and more. I'm glad I didn't eat dinner before I went. It was fun to try some different foods I might otherwise not gotten a chance to. We also tried some yummy desserts like Frozen Chocolate Dipped Cheesecake, Sour Crean Lemon Fudge, Smores Funnel Cake, and Chocolate Covered Marshmallows. I love my sweets, and although I liked them all, my favorite was the frozen cheesecake.

I highly recommend this fair. We have gone the past several years with the kids, and they absolutely love it. Captain Jack Sparerib is the kids favorite. We got to see him perform tonight, and he did not disappoint. We also got to catch a pig race, and watch an amazing motorcycle show. If you haven't been to this fair before, you don't know what you are missing.

School is almost out, and for many that means a road trip with kids will be happening. Check out 11 Ideas for a Successful Low-Tech Road Trip and Road Trip Scavenger Hunt for some ideas to help make a long car trip with kids easier.

Don't forget to check the full calendar to see more of what's going on this week!

Have a good week!
